This week has been a busy one so excuse me for not posting earlier. On Monday we had some friends over for the BCS Championship game, Auburn vs. Oregon. Of course, most of our friends wanted the SEC team to win, but not my husband. Here's a picture of him some time in the 3rd quarter after the crowd had left.
He looks as though his eyes are closed, but it's just the angle that I am taking the picture and using my iPhone instead of a real camera (or I might have caught him mid blink). He was very proud of his Ducks and was disappointed that they didn't win. He has said that if Oregon wasn't so far away, he'd either be a Duck or a Beaver instead of a Rebel. I think I speak for everyone when I say, we are glad he chose to be a Rebel!
As for the rest of the week, we went to Ben's Pediatrics Block party at Keifer's. He was on call that night but they let him leave early in order to attend the dinner... as long as he brought food back for the residents that had to stay. Also, on Thursday, we went to the Family Medicine Interest Group banquet where Ben got recognized as being the secretary of the group. I was recognized for my own false "accomplishments"... I was actually congratulated for being pregnant by one of Ben's classmates... and to clarify... I am NOT.... AWKWARD! She did say that she thought she heard the rumor rather than me looking pregnant. I still was a little horrified and was sucked-in the rest of the night! I'm thankful that Clare was there to help take away some of the awkwardness... poor girl, she wanted to just sneak away... I am sure of it.
Ben is back on call today so I had lunch and shopping outing with friends, Jenni and Clare, and baby John. We had a wonderful time as always.
I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and Happy Birthday, Martin Luther King, Jr. I only wish that I did not still have to go into work on Monday. :(

Jolly Holly Days
This year for Christmas Ben and I went to Cartersville, GA to spend it with his family. Fortunately I had some extra vacation days to use up before 2011 so we got spend a whole week there. We had a wonderful time. We even got to experience a white Christmas. Here are a couple photos...
Once the weather decided to cooperate, Ben's grandparents, Mimi and Grandaddy, came down from North Carolina to visit with us a few days as well. The big gift this year was a pool table. Grandaddy was a pool shark and showed us all up. One day Ben and I went to the Atlanta Aquarium. Here are some highlights...
After our time in Georgia, we went to Nashville for a few days to visit some friends. We have great friends there and do not get the chance to see them enough. Ben's sister, Megan, came as well. We went to a New Year's Eve party with an 80's cover band and danced until Megan and I couldn't bear to stand in our heels for a minute longer. Ben and Blake then went to hail us a cab. Let's just say that hailing the cab and the drive home were an event within themselves, but since neither experience was very pleasant for the parties involved, we won't relive it here. Thankfully we made it home with the majority of us still dry... special thanks to Blake who endured the most of the brutal weather and dealt with the shady cab driver!
We wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year! Best Wishes for 2011 from the Bevill's!! Now off to take down the tree and other decorations... My dad would be very disappointed with me that our tree and decorations are still up after January 1st!

Just a Test...
Hello Family, Friends, and/or whoever may stumble upon this...
I have decided to start a blog. Here I will post daily, weekly, or monthly happenings. This is my first attempt at blogging so I am not promising how often I will update or that any of my design features or blog name will even stay the same. This is merely just a dry run, so please bear with me... As you will come to notice, I am not the most eloquent writer, most accurate speller, nor most creative story-teller, but nonetheless, I will try my best! One thing that I will warn you about on the front end is that I love to incorporate "..." and "!" in my writing. I hope you enjoy unnecessary punctuation as much as I do. If you feel like sharing an opinion of my blog and/or contents within, please do so.
Enjoy!!
